Strategy: Business Development in all of Denmark 2024-2027

The Danish Board of Business Development exists to strengthen the sustainable growth and development of Danish companies. The strategy, which is signed off by the Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov, is intended to help Danish SMEs and entrepreneurs meet current challenges and seize future opportunities such as, e.g. green transition and artificial intelligence.

The strategy sets a clear and ambitious direction for business development in Denmark, building on the positive experiences from previous efforts and a broad dialogue with businesses and business operators.

With the strategy in hand the Danish Board of Business Development will work to launch initiatives within the strategy's priorities worth more than DKK 2 billion over the next four years.

The strategy focuses on four strategic objectives that will drive the effort:

  • Support companies' adaptability
  • Promote Danish positions of strength
  • Simplify the future of business development
  • Offer initiatives throughout the country

Specifically, companies must be able to get help when supply chains become uncertain, when production needs to be adjusted, or when the next expansion of the business is just around the corner. It is key to invest in developing national positions of strength so that Denmark continues to be a leader in the global competition. And it must be easy for companies to find the right help at the right time, based on their current situation, regardless of where in the country they are located.
